Huang Zitan, courtesy name Master Taiyi, is the founder of Great Tao Homeland, the inheritor of the complete teachings and methods of the Taoist Wenshi Lineage, and the establisher of Life Studies and Taoology. His representative works include The Great Veneration: An Exegesis of the Wenshi Classic and Liezi: Traces in the Void.

The root of Chinese culture lies in Taoology. The Taoist Wenshi Lineage descends from the ancient tradition of Fuxi, the Yellow Emperor, Laozi, and Zhuangzi. Hidden for thousands of years, it has now come forth to the world to spread the Tao. As the saying goes: “The highest is Wenshi; the greatest is Shaoyang.” The Wenshi Lineage is the supreme lineage within Taoism.

When Laozi traveled west through Hangu Pass, he orally transmitted the essence of supreme cultivation to Yin Xi and wrote the Tao Te Ching as proof, planting the seed of Taoist culture. After receiving Laozi’s teachings, Yin Xi himself wrote nine chapters titled Guan Yinzi. Yin Xi attained the realm of Wenshi Zhenren and founded the most profound and secret lineage in Taoism—the Wenshi Lineage.

The Wenshi Lineage has an unbroken transmission:Laozi → Yin Xi → Heshang Gong → Wei Boyang → Ma Yi Dao Zhe → Chen Tuan → Zhang Wumeng → Jia Desheng → Ning Family of Zhongnan → Ning Xiangli → Huang Zitan

The methods passed down in the Wenshi Lineage are both extremely simple and profoundly deep. They explain the mysteries of the universe and reveal the true meaning of life and death.

1. True Transmission of Wu Wei Fa

Wu Wei Fa is the king of all methods. It starts from the root, unlocks the mysteries of the universe, and breaks through all phenomena. It can be practiced alone or integrate and guide other methods. Wu Wei Fa points directly to the origin, representing the pinnacle of Tao cultivation. It is the core path of realization for all true practitioners in ancient times and the ultimate fundamental method. Wu Wei Fa requires a certain foundation and insight; it is taught to suitable students, ideal for those with solid roots, wisdom, or single-minded devotion to the Tao.

Special Transmission:Xian Tian Yi (Primordial Yi), the root of Wu Wei Fa;Newly added: Da Yan Shi Fa (Great Expansion Divination).

2. Jin Dan Da Dao

Jin Dan Da Dao is the structured form of Wu Wei Fa and the ultimate form of You Wei Fa (Action Method). Master Huang Zitan will clearly explain the 1–9 levels of Jin Dan Da Dao in class:

• What huohou (fire timing) is used at each level?

• What is the ding lu (cauldron and furnace)?

• What yao wu (medicines) are used?

• What are the zheng yan (verification signs)?

• Under what conditions can one advance to the next level?All will be clearly pointed out!

The Wenshi Lineage Jin Dan Da Dao taught by Huang Zitan surpasses other schools because it enables:“Xuan Lan Zhi Jing, er Zheng Chao Yang Shen Cheng Jiu”(Mysterious contemplation of the ultimate essence, thus attaining realization beyond the Yang Shen.)

Most other Dan Dao schools only reach Yang Shen Cheng Jiu (Yang Spirit Realization) as their final goal, lacking the higher realm of Chao Yang Shen (Beyond Yang Shen).

3. Da Cheng Jing Tu Fa

Da Cheng Jing Tu Fa is a practice combining sudden and gradual enlightenment, represented by sacred mantras. Since ancient times, it has been widely practiced by early people and Taoists. Later, it was adopted by nations, religions, medicine, divination, yoga, and spiritual schools worldwide, with countless verified results.

Mantra practice in Taoism is simple, easy to learn, and widely applicable to people of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds—a great method for liberating all beings.

The Taiyi Xin Zhou (Taiyi Heart Mantra) is its representative practice:

• Minor cultivation liberates one from birth and death.

• Major cultivation attains Yang Shen realization.It is the most hidden and profound path in Life Studies cultivation.

How Should You Choose?

Using mountain climbing as a metaphor for cultivation, the three courses each have unique features:

• Wu Wei Fa: Like a direct shortcut up a steep cliff, closest to the summit. It requires extremely strong roots and insight, like rock climbing—demanding strength, skill, and courage. Many reached the summit in ancient times; few do today. It is the path of sudden enlightenment and sudden attainment.

• Jin Dan Da Dao: Like a path carved into the cliff. Still dangerous, but with a clear route. It requires basic foundation and insight. The higher one goes, the fewer travelers. Only agile, strong, and experienced practitioners reach high levels, attaining Yang Shen and even Chao Yang Shen realization.

• Da Cheng Jing Tu Fa: Like a wide, gentle road to the middle of the mountain. Easy to practice and inclusive, suitable for all ages. No prior Tao foundation is needed—only perseverance. One can reach the middle stage and attain Yin Shen realization, with benefits including physical and mental health, knowing the time of death in advance, and mastering life and death freely. Though reaching the summit remains difficult, it is extremely friendly for those aiming for stable mid-level realization.
